Pixelblast reblasted
As the old adage goes: third time is a charm. I finally combined my personal blog (used to be on kilianmuster.com) and the Pixelblast website (used to be on an overpriced .JP domain) into Pixelblast.net.
This time I took as the main theme the “Ship of Fools”, an allegory that has long been a fixture in Western literature and art. It’s about a vessel populated by human inhabitants who are frivolous or oblivious passengers aboard a ship without a pilot, and seemingly ignorant of their own direction. It has its origins in a 16th century book by Sebastian Brandt named “das Narrenschiff”.
This ship without a planned direction and a pilot is a strong metaphor for design and new media. Of course we all have the interim target of readability, usability and other ilities, but where that will lead us, nobody knows.
The German original uses the term “Narr”, which can mean either “fool” or “jester”, and just as a jester — who were the only ones allowed to speak their minds openly in the royal court — Pixelblast can analyse your media and communication towards their effectiveness and address problems openly without mincing words.
Pixelblast knows how to navigate this ship. Just as the jesters do not fret, wholeheartedly embrace new ways of expression and communication. With decades of expertise in all digital media, and just as much experience doing and supporting business in Japan, Pixelblast can put new wind in your sails!
Ah, yes. The new site is coded in HTML5, just for the bragging rights.
