At the London Film & Television Festival, the Shadywoods pilot achieved finalist status for best TV Pilot.
Directed and animated by Kilian Muster, the Shadywoods pilot introduces the main characters Frank Findelholtz, his daughter Procella, the house kobold Humbug and the resident poltergeist Rudwin. The pilot is a proof of concept for an animated series about the escapades of Frank, last heir of Findelholtz castle, struggling to make a buck and raise his activist young adult daughter in the middle of a bewitched forest with the help of a poltergeist and an overzealous kobold housekeeper.
Pilot Synopsis
When the power plant cuts Frank off, his daughter Procella runs away to live a sustainable life in the forest. Frank and his poltergeist embark on a treasure hunt, culminating in a showdown with a warlock gang and an exploding stork.
